Portable Gear Pump Unit
Features
Portable: Compact size (60 cm in height and 30 cm in width) convenient for carrying around
Low output/stable supply: Stable paint supply can be maintained without pulsation even at flow rates as low as 50 mL.
Shorter cleaning time: A model with a cleaning time reduction mechanism is available that may be used to reduce the cleaning time when changing colors or in other situations.
Reduction in cleaning thinner consumption: Compared to the previous paint pumps, this pump can be cleaned with approx. 1/6 to 1/8 of the amount of thinner.
High repeatability: Repeated discharge accuracy can be maintained within the range of ±2%. Fine-tuning operations are easy as well.
Cautions on the Paint Used
- Use of paint containing abrasive pigments may result in an extremely short service life.
- The gear pump on the hardening agent side used in a two-solution system will have the hardening agent coagulate in its bearing and therefore needs to be overhauled at regular intervals of one or two months.
- The pump cannot be used with a type of paint that deteriorates or hardens if shear force is applied (emulsion paint, dispersion paint, or UV paint).

Gear Pump, Paint Pump/FCV, and Paint Tank Characteristic Comparison Table
The gear pump, paint pump/FCV, and paint tank are compared below. The gear pump causes little change to the flow rate when viscosity changes. It is superior in low paint output and repeatability when the flow rate is changed, and its fine-tuning operations are easy.
