LED Lights

LED Illuminations by KONSEI’s lighting technology

In order to perform accurate inspection, it is crucial to obtain stable images in terms of variations in the ambient light
and workpiece by clarifying the contrast for recognizing the inspection points.

At KONSEI, we propose lighting solutions that meet your requirements with our variety of LED illuminators. We ensure stable
images and reliable quality management.

Our products comply with all EU standards

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance) is a directive given by EU in regards to the restriction of the use of certain
hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment. All of KONSEI’s LED light products meet these requirements

Using LED Lights

Illumination changes in a short period of time

Illumination changes occur immediately after turning on LED light

If LED light is turned off and left for a sufficient amount of time in room temperature, illumination changes will occur
due to the effects of heat generation by the LED lighting.

Target illumination: PDB-10CR (W/G/B) KC

Before start of lighting: Left for 1 hour at room temperature

Reference illumination: Initial value at the start of the experiment

Temperature: 23°C

Controller output: 100% output, continuous operation

Illumination Degradation of LED Lights.

Degradation of illumination occurs when using LED light continuously at high temperature

  • Countermeasure 1: Use after decreasing output to 50% or less with the controller. When degradation of illumination occurs,
you can respond to it by increasing the output.
  • Countermeasure 2: Turn on the lighting only when shooting an image with the external control. There is no effect to the
LED life even with frequent switching operations.
  • Countermeasure 3: Attach the lighting to a bracket with good thermal conductivity such as metal brackets. The heat inside
the LED is designed to be easily transmitted to the case surface. By attaching the lighting to a bracket with good
thermal conductivity, the heat dissipation effect increases.
  • Countermeasure 4: Blow air on the case surface. Similar to Countermeasure 3, the heat dissipation effect increases.
  • Countermeasure 5: Use a long life chip-type LED.

The chip-type LED has long life because there is no degradation due to the heat of the resin lens portion that occurs in
lens-type LED.

Target illumination: PDB2-50LWKC

Measurement interval: Once a week

Reference illumination: Initial value at the start of the experiment

Measurement interval: Once a week
