Tsubaki Chain Meshing Type Actuators Zip Chain Actuator®

Zip chain was uniquely developed by Tsubaki.

Two chains lock together like a zipper to form a single, strong column for pushing and pulling applications.

 

Features

Compactness
Achieved 1/4 to 1/5 sizes compared to conventional linear actuators as this product can compactly house the Zip Chain.

High-speed performance
Capable of higher-speed operation compared to screw type, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
ZCA125, ZCA135: Maximum speed = 1000mm/sec
ZCA145: Maximum speed = 500mm/sec

Multi-point stopping
Multi-point stopping at any desired position is possible by controlling the input rotation.

Be sure to always attach a linear guide in the direction of travel. For hanging installations, you will need to check safety.

Construction

The interlocked chains form a single column to push and pull. Chains that are not engaged can be compactly housed in the plastic case, allowing for installation in tighter spaces.

  2. Values represent basic capacities with an end fixture attached. Contact a Tsubaki representative regarding any other installation fixture requirements. Values are obtained when operated at a maximum 0.35G (upper limit) acceleration. These values are applicable regardless of the type of installation (vartical, horizontal, hanging).
  3. Use within the stroke range. Always install a linear guide in the direction of travel.
  4. Limited torque models. The motor output shaft torque exceeds the generated thrust. Contact us separately for other combinations of generated thrust and speed.
  5. ZCA125: Models with 500mm stroke bellows are limited to a basic capacity of 300N{30.6kgf} or less.
  6. ZCA135: Models with 1000mm stroke bellows are limited to a basic capacity of 431N{44.0kgf} or less.
  7. ZCA145: Models with 2000mm stroke bellows are limited to a basic capacity of 900N{91.8kgf} or less.
