IKEUCHI Solid-matter Cooling System

Large-space Cooling and Humidification System

This system produces fine fog (Dry Fog*1, Semi-Dry Fog®*2 and fine fog*3) to cool metal dies, coated products, plastic molded articles, castings, die-castings and so forth.

When coming into contact with solids, the fog vaporizes without wetting object surfaces, simultaneously lowering object temperature via evaporative cooling. This approach eliminates wetness, a problem encountered with water-cooling approaches under certain circumstances, and provides more efficient cooling performance.

Features

• Non-drain cooling system for solids that utilizes Dry Fog (*1), Semi-Dry Fog® (*2), and fine fog (*3).
• Eliminates uneven cooling, wetness and other problems encountered with water cooling.
• Rectifies problems related to insufficient cooling capacity encountered with air cooling.

*1) We define Dry Fog as a very fine fog with a uniform, mean droplet diameter (mean fog droplet size) of 10 μm or less.
Because Dry Fog’s exceedingly fine spray droplets remain intact without bursting when they come into contact with objects such as a walls and people, they do not wet these impact surfaces.
*2) We define Semi-Dry Fog® as a fog with a mean droplet diameter (mean fog droplet size) of 10–30 μm. This highly useful fog features fine droplets and does not include large droplets which can result in wetting of objects and surfaces.
*3) We define “fine fog” as a fog with a mean droplet diameter (droplet size) of 10–100 μm.
